Our Mission
MORUSMED builds the systems private interventional pain clinics need to grow sustainably. We focus on the parts of the patient journey where practices lose momentum — review stability, digital visibility, intake workflows, and conversion architecture — and we turn them into predictable, intelligent systems.
Our goal is simple:
to help pain physicians run healthier practices with less operational stress.

About Nick Ryan

Nick Ryan is the CEO of MORUSMED and a Doctor of Business Administration candidate whose work centers on building AI-enabled growth systems for interventional pain practices. He has spent more than a decade working with private pain clinics, neuromodulation programs, and national pain societies to strengthen their digital infrastructure, patient flow, and operational efficiency.
Before entering this field, Nick worked in federal law enforcement with the U.S. Department of State and served as a Scout Sniper Team Leader in the United States Marine Corps. That background shaped the way he approaches clinics today: clear systems, calm problem-solving, and a commitment to integrity that doesn’t waver when things get complicated.
Nick also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Post-Surgical Pain, where he helps guide strategic initiatives across the pain-management community.
He is married with three children and stays actively involved in the Marine Corps League and Toys for Tots.
Why Pain Practices Need a Different Approach
Interventional pain clinics operate under pressures that most marketing companies don’t understand.
Opioid-era reputation risk:
A single encounter with a drug-seeking patient can trigger an immediate 1-star review that threatens the entire practice’s credibility.
Neuromodulation complexity:
Most patients don’t understand spinal cord stimulation, DRG, or basivertebral nerve ablation — and most marketers don’t either. That creates huge gaps between patient interest and patient action.
Physician-owned business dynamics:
Private pain clinics rely on efficient triage, referral relationships, and procedure-driven pathways. Small breaks in the patient journey have outsized impact.
These realities shape everything MORUSMED builds. Your systems aren’t designed like dermatology, dentistry, or family medicine — and your digital infrastructure shouldn’t be either.
How It Started
What began in 2012 as a single project quickly grew into long-term work with private practices, pain societies, and neuromodulation-focused groups across the country.
Over time, it became clear that pain clinics didn’t need “more marketing.”
They needed better systems — systems that respected the realities of pain medicine and supported physicians who carry an unusually heavy clinical and regulatory burden.
MORUSMED was built around that insight and has remained focused on it ever since.
